5 Digit Sky Code for Universal Remote

Hi,

I have a Onkyo receiver/amp and have managed to get the remote to work the TV, but I'm struggling to find the correct page on the net which lists the 5 digit code for the skybox.

When I search the net I find lots of codes to enter into a sky remote, the codes always corresponding to a TV, rather than the actual sky codes themselves.

Obviously what I'm looking for isn't a TV code, but whatever code is required to work the actual Sky box, with a remote that isn't Sky's.

Is this even possible? If so, what's the code?

I'm asking for a 5 digit due to me testing how many digits the remote needs before flashing as if it's stored, and it's a 5 digit code. However with my Philips TV I found a 4 digit and entered 1 at the front to make it a 5 digit. This might be the same case with the sky, so if you know of a 4 digit, don't hold back.

Thanks in advance for anything you can help me with. This is driving me nuts.

Cheers

Dan

Re: 5 Digit Sky Code for Universal Remote

Yeah, about half way down their thread I found the code. Most in that thread want their sky remote to control the Onkyo receiver. Though there was a guy that wanted his Onkyo remote to control the actual sky box, which is what I was struggling to find.

Quote:
I used code 01175 on the Onkyo remote (Sky +) which should emulate all same functions as on a Sky HD box.
All but the coloured buttons work, and you have to go into TV Guide to record things rather than pressing the R button on any channel. But that's okay for me it's mainly changing channels and whatnot that I wanted.
