I am trying to connect these 3 to get the sound from tv through the theatre system. Looking back at similar posts I think I have connected them correct.
Virgin V+ with HDMI to TV HDMI 2
LG HB905 DA 2.1 HDMI to TV HDM1
I have tried Virgin+ with Optical to LG Optical In
and also LG Optical in TV to Samsung TV - but no sound comes out the speakers!
Do I have to change any settings on TV, V+ or LG Home Theatre?
I am a bit of a novice at this, therefore your help would be much appreciated!

Does that mean I don't need the Optical cable? and is it possible to adjust the sound now through the Virgin Remote instead of the LG?
