Question 3d tv

Hi all,

OK - need some help and advice! A relative wants a 3D TV but I'm not sure what make / model is best.

So far I have suggested a 40" - 42" LED possibly a Sony / Panasonic / Samsung.

It's going to be feed via Sky HD + 3D package. Optional 3D Blu-Ray Player but not essential at this time. If one comes bundled in a package then great.

Budget is - I've said not much change from £1k so far.

Would also like 4 pairs of 3D glasses.

Ideas on that lot anybody?

This Samsung looks ok to me but I've not done any in-depth research to see if it has any known issues.

That Samsung is prretty good for that price! Just watch a "What-HI*FI" review

Comet have a 50" 3D Samsung (Plasma) for £699.99 http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Plasma-TVs/...asma-TV/701793

EDIT: Just checked the specs of the 50" Plasma 3D and it's not as good as the 40" LCD

Re: 3d tv

I've got the Samsung and overall it's a fantastic TV. Although the one I got has had a slight issue with colour banding on it - getting a replacement this week. Some others seem to have a problem with it 'blinking' - there is a rather large discussion going on about it at AVForums

I would point out that it's not LED - it's standard CCFL. Which to be honest makes very little difference apart from how thin it is

You can also get it cheaper than Amazon

£679 from Beyond Television
