Re: Bird Nesting Box Camera
Yep, but again, so does every digital camera out there
What about one of these then, anyway you could place/remove it without disturbing the birds

Re: Bird Nesting Box Camera
Whatever you decide to do be prepared for the worst. Some time ago we rigged another small camera over a blackbird's nest. We were delighted when the eggs hatched and even more so when the 4 chicks hatched. Our delight soon turned to shock however when one by one the chicks disappeared and we eventually caught the culprit on video - it was a male blackbird who appeared after the female left the nest and took the chicks out one by one and flew off with them!

Re: Bird Nesting Box Camera
Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I know folks like to support our birdlife especially at this time of year. I noticed that Aldi are selling a bird box with camera for 39.99 from Thursday. They have other offers available on other feeders and food.
Hope this is of use

Wow! Wicked! Thanks.....wonder where out nearest Aldi is??! Will check....
Wonder if that's just one cable - or if it requires power??

Re: Bird Nesting Box Camera
Seems it may have a plug and scart lead if it's the same as the one they sold last year..

My husband bought me such a nest box/camera set up last Christmas from Aldi. Its great. You don't need wireless really as the cable is around 100ft long with a plug and scart lead at the end. We run it through a small window and it just connects to the back of a TV with a scart lead (like a dvd player) and plugs in the same wall as the TV. Quite simple to set up and of course you can disconnect it all in the Autumn but we'll leave ours connect in case wrens use the nest box.

No mention of how it's being powered though...
