Mobile Phone Recyling
Hi all,
We've got a couple of old mobiles knocking around the house and it's about time we got shot of them.
Has anybody used any of these mobile phone recyling companies?
We are thinking of http://www.phonerecyclebank.com/ as they've got the best price on the phone/s we have.
I've already checked out http://www.comparemobilephonerecycling.co.uk

ebay generally gets you a better price than either. What phones are they though as there are a couple of models I am interested in from the older phone range..

I used Mazuma last year to sell my iPhone 3G. Very good service, with a quick turn-around.

I think it was around £200, may have been more. This was in June last year for an iPhone3G 16GB.

Currently selling on ebay from 250 used to 300 new...
I had a look at phone recycling places a while back, if you don't mind waiting a few days for the auction to end ebay is going to bring you much better rates of return.
Then again so would loot.
One thing I noticed about the recycling sites, they don't offer much for higher value phones (Such as the iphone) compared to other methods of sale. For example, one site listed Vertu as a brand, you look up the Vertu constellation on there and it says 'not worth anything but we will recycle it for you, just send it in' then you google the phone and the value is in the thousands (Vertu constellation is a hand made phone from nokia)
If you want quick & convenient, by all means use the recycling sites, but bear in mind that the offers from them are well below the market value of the handset you are recycling.

Not thought of advertising them on this site for free as you may get a better price.
