Re: How do i copy a dvd to comp

Compressed or uncompressed, if compressed then which codec?

In other words it's not as simple as it looks

Re: How do i copy a dvd to comp

You can use DVDDecryptor to rip the DVD to the hard drive, and then use Auto Gordian Knot to convert it to XVID or DIVX.

Re: How do i copy a dvd to comp

If you do use DVDDecryptor and AutoGK, set DVDDecryptor to IFO mode instead of File or the audio will probably be out of sync when it's been converted to AVI.

Double that and you're on the right track.

A lossless like-for-like copy is easily achieved with DVDShrink. Copy the DVD to the hard disk, and then burn it to DVD if necessary. You can also process that with RipBot264 to get it further.
