Thanks. Not much snow at all around town, the roads are clear. A little bit has stuck on the higher ground and it's bad in the outlying areas.

Re: CF: Clickers Corner
Rare visitor to the gardens around here deserved a smash'n'grab shot.
Not sharp but 400mm handheld at 1/12th sec in failing light deserves a bit of leeway I think.

It's nice round there. We cycle through VIcar Water on the way to Sherwood Forest. Must take my camera next time we go.

Bit of an abstract image, the result of messing around with some drinking straws and off-camera flash

To tell the truth DW, I didnt even realise that the theme was Abstract
If we can still do 2 shots, i may use this and come up with something different to go with it

Re: CF: Clickers Corner
Considering the equipment used was crude in comparison to that of today's I think this may interest you lot considerably.

So how would any of you go about getting a photo like these?

Nice shot. We have one as a regular visitor but I never have the camera ready.
Hubby has caught it on camera though.

I have the earlier version, which is 200x. I used it to make this image of a LED.

Re: CF: Clickers Corner
My AV has reacted badly to that site DW especially when I tried to look around the site.

Re: CF: Clickers Corner
Removed the Veho link in post #281 as people are reporting a trojan on leaving the page, could just be a cookie script but until we know more please do not return the link

Re: CF: Clickers Corner
I haven't got any reaction on 3 of my PC's (norton, AVG, MSE) so could be a false positive but we like to be safe hence the removal of the link.
If you're happy I suggest leaving the link off just to be 100% sure
