Re: CF: Clickers Corner
Some close wouldnt call them macro shots I took tonight.
I'm liking this A200, makes me wanna go out and get an A700 or better
30 sec exposure, 11w uplighter in the corner of the room using the sigma 70-300.

I like the second flower image. I love my D90 but I'd really love a D3s.

The updated version 6.2 of 123di is now available, added information on Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Adobe Lightroom 3 Beta. You can download a demo from here: http://www.123di.com/

Just had a look through the demo, looks quite good. Pretty informative, may speak to the other half about adding it to my crimbo list
Took delivery of the red snapper tripod today, well impressed and worth every penny.

I find it a very useful tool. I also like the fact that you are allowed to install it onto three computers (their example: home, work and laptop).
I e-mailed them asking what happens when I install Win 7 and have to reinstall the software, I received a fast reply telling me they'd given me three more licence activations so I could use then as soon as I installed Win 7.
That was pretty fast delivery on the tripod.

Good news for Photographers
It seems like the police have been told to stop harrassing photographers and using section 44 as a blanket rule to stop photography in public places.

Re: CF: Clickers Corner
I'm after buying a wide angle lens to fit my Canon SX1, I've ordered a 58mm lens adapter to attach it to, because the SX1 doesn't have a thread, it's a bayonet type attachment.
Any ideas on what to look for in a WA lens? I don't want fish-eye.
TIA

The only ones I could find were from Opteka, but these are fish-eye.
Here's a test video with the sx1 and the opteka 0.20x hd² lens.

It came from this thread: http://www.vimeo.com/groups/sx1/forumthread:7989

Re: CF: Clickers Corner
Thanks DW, I've seen the video you linked to. I might just buy a cheap one from ebay to see how that looks. I was thinking of this... I know, cheap as chips, but it's received some good feedback.

Re: CF: Clickers Corner
Not had much to post on this thread for a while but I thought this Photography discount link for Amazon may have some items of interest to our members. A Hama 4024 Mini Tripod (1xTripod) for £2.90 inc p&p is winging it's way to me seeing as I managed to leave mine on top of the car never to be seen again.
The camera bags look quite good value too.

Thanks to Money Saving Expert for devising the link.

As you say it's pretty cheap so it might be worth a punt. If my friends 10-20mm Sigma lens is anything to go by, your going to get bad edge distortion whatever you buy.

Thanks for the link, jo. I remember getting one of those Mini tripods as a free gift on a camera mag years ago. It's small and lightweight, ideal for use with a compact camera.

I have a Sigma 15-30mm, and I get very little (if any ) edge distortion
What body does your friend have it hooked upto, if its full frame or 35mm it may explain the problem
