To get any energy worthwile at the receiving end requires a huge amount of power at the exciting end which can affect many other devices in its path.
Which can be helped by using the correct frequencies and resonant of the transmitting and recieving coils.. Somehow I don;t think this will be 50hz as common in current applications
So basically they've reinvented Nikola Tesla's idea for wireless power transmission he demonstrated in 1894?

I find it interesting that none of the articles I have seen so far give any credit to Tesla for his initial work in the field though.
