Samsung C300 (Orange PAYG)

Just bought one of these - it just does phone & text, nice and simple

Despite having lots of leaflets in the box, I can't seem to find the default 'password' e.g. if you want to 'restore all settings' it asks you for a password - Can anyone help, please?

Also I've read about SIM Card PIN, which is supposed to be on the lable attached to the box, mine just shows SIM Card number, any ideas, is there usually a default?

Finally, voicemail. I want to set it that when the phone is turned off, messages can not be left (then I don't have to pay 15p to listen to them ) I know there's a long way of doing this via menus, but wonder if there's a quick way?

They sent me a text (had 8 so far from Orange) telling me I had been given #1 credit, which I took to mean 1 UKP, however, customer services (had to dial from landline) told me it was just 1p He generously gave me an extra 25p credit for the inconvenience.

Also signing-up online died part-way through, and seemingly they can't fix yet. Overall, I'm not impressed with orange so far

Cheers

Try 00000000 (8 zeros) for the security code.

As for the voice mail, a quick search suggests you need to ring Orange and get them to turn it off.
I thought there was a #code you could do it with, but I cant for the life of me recall it.

Kind regards

Hey, that works

Many thanks for that.

I'm sure there must be a quick code for turning off (and on) voice mail, I just can't find it on Orange or Samsung's website, not even Google. Maybe I'm just not asking the right question.

Anyhow, one problem solved, thanks again

Re: Samsung C300 (Orange PAYG)

I'm not having much luck with Orange.

I tried to register the 'top-up and go' card, I received a text message to say that had failed as the system was down.

I've tried every day to get my online account completed, it's failed. I've raised 2 cases, and apart from an automated reply, I've heard nothing.

Is this the 'normal' level of service I can expect from Orange?

Question Re: Samsung C300 (Orange PAYG)

I just bought one C300. It is very simple, and nice. I enjoy it, it feels good in my hands.

When I charge it, the light is on. All the time! Even, if it is off (or on).

Question: How can I switch off the light while charging?

Thanks
