Re: The iPhone thread
According to what I just found out the iphone no longer appears as a disk but as a digital device such as a scanner.
Click Start, then Devices and printers, and your iphone should appear there.
if not then try here - http://www.tipstrs.com/tip/14580/Tra...s-to-Windows-7

See that's the thing - the icon has gone. IT was there and now no luck.
I've been fiddling and now the pc won't recognise the iPhone at all. whoops

Too much of that will stunt your growth.
The other suggestion was to connect the iphone with itunes closed.

Re: The iPhone thread
Try updating your version of iTunes...or remove and re-install your current version

Re: The iPhone thread
My iPhone has never shown up in Windows Explorer.... It has always been seen via iTunes though. Then I moved to Mac so its no longer an issue for me but I just thought it was how apple "designed" it.

Re: The iPhone thread
Yup usually it shows up in explorer and also pops up with an option to open a window so i can drag and drop my photo's off it.
But I can't do that now.

Re: The iPhone thread
Does it show up as an imaging source in Devices and printers?

Re: The iPhone thread
Well that's odd. I found a third party browser program so I could access the picture folder on the phone directly - deleted all the photos in it and it seems to have cleared up the problem. Maybe it was a corrupt photo or something. Thanks for everyone's help

Re: The iPhone thread
Does anyone else have issues with orange 3G?
At times its really slow and the last couple of days whilst at work I have had little to no signal. (usually I get 3G and full "bars")
I asked orange and there are no outages in the area...

I was in and around Stockport all weekend. Didn't have any problems with 3G signal. I should add I was on a HTC Desire though.
