it was also available on the cpw site. I've spoken to my local cpw who are getting a limited supply in available from 9am on Friday.

Cerby can you find out what the crack is with downgrading a contract. I might get the £45 per month one but would I be able to drop to £35 per month after say 6 months?

I really want one but need to find some way of getting out of my T-Mobile contract of which I have 9 months left still

Got one and mine's waiting in store for me to pick up tomorrow. Having worked for O2 I knew a couple of the managers at the stores in Glasgow and got mine reserved. A little unfair I know. Reached my eligibility for upgrade as of tomorrow.

Well it looks like I might have a long wait.

Got the text on Monday and tried 100's of times to pre-order with no success. Carphone warehouse wanted me to set up a brand new contract.
Called the call centre to be told that they would have some if I called back on Friday and I called up today to check and they are not getting any in on Friday just a few per store.

My contract is in my GF's name as she bought me a phone many moons back so she's always had to sort out my upgrades in store (over the phone I can upgrade as I have the password etc).

GF cannot come to the store tomorrow because of work and Kendal o2 shop won't reserve one or let her complete any paperwork prior to the event and I could Q up for one.

Really hacked off, especially since I Q'd on the launch night to get one in the first place and paid full whack.

If only I was able to get out of my contract, I might have seen if I could get you to reserve me one too

Could of done at a push, but there is no way I can see of getting you out of your remaining 9 months with T-Mob.

I could recommend a few things to try, but unlikely it would work. Obviously not going to recommend things you could try in public, there are other channels for that.

Gah. Long lines outside o2 Kendal - gawd knows what it's like in the larger towns and cities. Must have been 20-30 people in the line and the shop has been open an hour. Looks like I'm not getting one soon then.

Which O2 store was it you went to?

I really like the look of the 16GB White one. I understand that it may only be available from some Apple stores. However as I need to wait a while I am sure I won't have trouble getting one in a few months.

Think I might sell my N95 and 16GB iPod Touch to cover the cost of paying off my contract and some of the cost of the 16GB iPhone on the £35 tariff

8GB from the Newton Mearns store. They had a grand total of 19 for sale today and only 2-3 16GB ones.

They did say a new batch arrives on Tuesday.
