Scart Cable

Apologies if this topic does not belong in this forum.

Is there a Scart cable available for a PS2 that will trigger the Av channel automatically when I turn the PS2 on?

The scart cable I have (the one with the yellow, red & white) does not do this but I have heard that there is one that will trigger the AV channel.

Anybody know?

Re: Scart Cable

I think this would be a feature of your TV rather than the SCART cable. Some SCART switchboxes have this autoswitching facility though where the signal is automatically routed from the last device to be switched on.

Re: Scart Cable

The switching of the the tv is controlled by the device (vcr, dvd, stb). A voltage is applied via pin 8 of the scart lead. Afaik the ps2 does not have this function.
