Hard drive to DCDR to TV best connection

Hi all

I need to connect my PVR to a TV and DVDR.........any idea which of the two ways shown on the attached is best ????

Option two gives me the option of output/input with RGB if that's relevant. With option one I only get the option of s-video or composite

Many thanks

Mike
