Midi keyboard - computer cable?

i was taking a look at my keyboard the other day (i've had it for god knows how long, but it's a really nice electrical one) and i noticed it had a port to plug it into my computer (at least i think it is...) and so anywayz, i was wondering, where should i look to get some sort of cord to connect my keyboard to my computer, i also use Anvil Studios' midi program, although in truth, i'd much rather have a Mac and Garage Band, but oh well, help please and thank you

You'd be looking for something like this then: http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/page/s...roduct_id/1773
Or if you still have a game/joystick port on your pc then you could go for a standard midi in/midi out to 15pin game port cable.

Another vote for Dolphinmusic. Very good for all your music needs.
Incidently, you will find that a lot of newer midi keyboards now connect via USB, however midi cables are still easily available for a couple of pounds.

Re: Midi keyboard - computer cable?

you can get midi (5pinDIN) - midi cables, you need one for in, and one for out (connect the in of the pc to the out of the keyboard) - this is what i have to do with my audigy

if you have a joystick port you can also get a 15pin D to 2x midi

that reminds me- must get my keyboard back out of the spare room
