Question Sim Card Memory Full

My Nokia 9210i has been saying: Sim Card Memory Full all day

I deleted all my SMS's (I think these are on my MMC Card but I did it)... I removed a few Addresses (dont have 1,000 anyway)

Whats doing this? Virus? or any ideas??

Cheers

Re: Sim Card Memory Full

iirc a sim card normally stores 250 contacts max

could be a borked sim card...

Re: Sim Card Memory Full

newer (like 3) sims hold >500, apparently. I hate everyone, so only have 20 contacts.

My advice is to fall out with them all, so you don't need that many contacts.

Re: Sim Card Memory Full

Check and make sure the phone is using the internal memory to store things instead of the Sim card.

If you can lay your hands on a spare phone it may be an idea to put your SIM in there and delete contacts etc. from the card in the other phone.

I *think* the SIM card only holds 10 messages anyway, the rest should be on your phone.

If this doesn't work it may be a knacked Sim and need a replacement.

Re: Sim Card Memory Full

Sim cards well at least older one hold 10 messages and 100 contacts.
Make sure:
You have deleted sent messages as well as your inbox and also read reciepts if you ask for them. Also make sure your MMC has not tried to copy its contents to the SIM as this often happens.
The Sims are pretty hardy and viruses are rare and do not effect the SIMs often rather the phone itself and its operating system especially Symbian menu phones.
Let me know if this helps
