Atrac3 cd's?

i was wondering, i see a lot of cd players talk about being able to play atrac3 cd's but i can't find where to buy them anywhere, any help? and what are they?

An atrac cd is kind of like an mp3 cd (different codec tho) - you'd burn it yourself.

At a guess I'd say using sony's sonic stage software.

Indeed - I still use my minidisc on occasion - sounds much better than mp3's to my untrained ears.

As long as that's what you like mate - personally I think it LOOKS awful. I'm not dissing what it can do mind - just the way it looks.

If you have a computer maybe you'd be better of with a mp3 player - with a nice large storage capacity.

edit - it doesn't play atrac cd's tho - do you want one that plays them?

Not fully, I would say it was more like Sony's version of Ogg Vorbis, as Atract3 (or Atract3Plus) at 128kb/s is MP3 quality at 256kb/s, but with the size of an MP3 file at 128kb/s.
