Re: Done, but with errors on page??????

Could be worth checking the debugging settings you have set in IE6.

Go to tools then internet options.

When that loads go to "Advanced" tab and look down the list.

Make sure "Disable script debugging" is checked but "Display a notification about every script error" is not.

Could also be worth checking your java settings too.

One last option may be to use a different proxy just in case this is part of the problem.

(Do a search for "Proxy" to find the threads with all the info on that susie.)

Hope one of these helps get rid of what I'm sure is a very anoying glitch in your matrix.

OK looking at the solution given in that thread you should be able to reset the rich text by setting up the hotmail account in outlook/outlook express and then using that rather than IE to access the settings.

Least ways thats my reading of the solution. Worth a try anyway.

EDIT yep seems to be letting me change the setting without any problems using this method so fingers crossed you should find the same.

Re: Done, but with errors on page??????

Which way did you use to change the setting?

I can do it two ways, first is to use the "Hotmail" main heading in the left panel in outlook to connect to hotmail (inside outlook) then log in to the main site and select to create a new message which then has the drop down menu to change the rich text on/off. (Still in outlook panel rather than IE btw)

The other way is to compose a message in outlook first, then select the change to rich text setting for the email then choose to use the hotmail account rather than your default to send the message in outlook.

Seems to reset the rich text setting for hotmail whichever way I use as hotmail then holds the setting till you change it.

EDIT: That said I, of course, don't have the same error comming up regardless of which rich text setting I use so this may be why I can do this.

Open up the new message window then go to "Format" on the main menu bar for that message the rich text setting should be there.

Having selected the new setting for rich text then use the drop down menu to select which account to send the message from and use the hotmail account assuming you have more than just hotmail set up in outlook express. Then finally just hit send and it will send that message via the hotmail account and by so doing should reset the default being used by hotmail. (I think) LOL

EDIT: also check the main outlook express options menu under the "Send" Tab.

Sorry giving the answer in bits cos I use Outlook not Outlook express so having to re-find my way round the settings and menus. LOL

LOL That's the beauty of having the forum.

OK one thing to try for you Susie just in case it helps.

First try a fresh install of IE6 from this link:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...p1/default.asp

Also make sure if you are on XP that you have all the latest updates for that too.

Be interesting to see if either of these will cure the problem.

Should give you the option to do a full re-install and no need to uninstall as it will sort all that for you.

Not sure if this will help but worth a shot if nothing else is helping.
