Thumbs down Bloody Ebay!

Bloody Ebay!
They won't re-activate my account.
I managed to get through to them and they asked me to fax through proof of ID, so I faxed driving licence, and bank statement, so they now have my address and bank account number.
They emailed back saying that as this information isn't the same as what they've got registered against my account, which I created a year ago and haven't been able to access since, they won't re-activate it. I would need to fax them a copy of a current bank statement and driving licence, with my old address on it!!!!
Apparently they don't see the flaw in their request

Why did it get deactivated in the first place?

If you don't need to keep your feedback, you could always destroy your credit card, phone the bank, get a replacement which will have a different CC number/expiry and CVV digits and open a new account on Ebay.

I think that Ebay believe Xaccers is either a drug dealer, pimp or something along those lines

They don't actually say what the discrepancies are, but it does say all I have to do is fax or send them two documents.
So I sent them a document from group one and group two.

Based on the information you have provided, I have reviewed your
account's suspension. It has been determined that your account cannot
be
reinstated due to the nature of the policy violation which caused the
suspension of your account.

Re: Bloody Ebay!

Write back asking if they would like to see their head of UK operations squirming on BBC Watchdog again.
At the same time ask for a contact in their legal department (perhaps they can give you more idea of ebay's actual decision making process).

Re: Bloody Ebay!

I wrote back saying basically, if my bank statement and driving licence aren't good enough then they can bloody well just delete my account and let me create a new one.

I just got this:

Yay!
