Question Curious Cookie

I use Pest Patrol which intercepts, deletes, then logs spyware cookies.
I have just checked the log and there is just one deleted cookie in there from www.lizziegrubman dated 02/01/2004. I had absolutely no idea who that was, so did a quick google and found that she is an American who mowed down several people with a car ( I think I remember it now ). To check I logged onto the top site in the Google list and Pest Patrol intercepted another spyware cookie with the same name.
I have never accessed this site at any time in the past and the log was clear last week. No one other than myself used the PC last Friday and there is no reference to this site in IE history or in ZA Pro logs. Is it in any way possible to get a cookie without actually visiting the site concerned.???

Enterian is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Curious Cookie

Could it be that one of the sites you did visit contained content (an image, advert, pop-up or similar) which was hosted on the offending site?

Re: Curious Cookie

I *think* some browsers let you block third-party cookies.

Re: Curious Cookie

I have ZA Pro set to block all cookies and pop ups unless I allow them.
