100Mb/sec for £70pm !!
A SWEDISH SUPPLIER will introduce an amazing 100Mbit/sec broadband connection for 895 kroner in April next year. That's about £70 a month, and that speed is in both directions. Bredbandsbolaget will cap downloads to 300GB as part of the service it's offering.
Right now, Bredbandsbolaget is offering bi-directional 10MB connections for 330 kroner a month without limits on the download. That's round about the average price for 512/256 ADSL here in Blightyland. According to the UK ADSL Guide, your £70 will get you 2MB/256K ADSL from a few suppliers. Sheesh! Us Brits are kebabbed!

Re: 100Mb/sec for £70pm !!
There's no demand for 2MB a month though.....(NTL)
If they are worried about their network falling over of they launched a 2MB service. Then it must be inferior to Telewests....and they had better think about upgrading it soon....especailly in light of Sweden's offering..

I don't think an ISP in Sweden is going to sway NTL's decision on wether to upgrade their network or not .. they're hardly competition.

I don't know what I would need a 100Mb connection for. I wouldn't mind a 1 Mb connection for 70p a month though

pushing the overworked/over subbed NTL Network aside
NTL are killing the joy of their customers downloading at 250kb/s and maybe NTL marketing have done their sums and found out that they cannot offer the service at £39.99 because the lower tiers will also have to come down in price.

Doesnt the lag on one of those wireless get real bad??
I know people say that about shortrange Wireless LANs aswel but I know that isnt true if your signal strength is good enough, im just curious because apparently they may be in my area Late 2004 I already have the hardware and I wouldnt mind the 54mbit (6.75Mbyte) Downstream.

Re: 100Mb/sec for £70pm !!
lol UK has long been a ripoff for anything internet check out things like hosting companies etc. traffic on average is 3x the price of rest of eu and usa.
Also bbb specs of service wont affect ntl at all, but they will eventually be forced to re think what they offering wether its sooner or later who knows?
