Some of you will recall that a few weeks ago I mentioned my cable co raised the speeds. Well, they did it again, just in time for Christmas.

Previously, what was 20 pounds a month got you 4 Mb/320 Kb. It has now been upped to 5 Mb/640 Kb.

What costed 30 pounds a month got you 5 Mb/640 Kb is getting you now 10 Mb/1 Mb.

Yes. I'm on a 10 Mb connection right now. I downloaded a FreeBSD ISO this afternoon for a spare computer I have at over 1,170 kb/sec. It is just: amazing. I love my cable company. It isn't quite as fast as Sweden, but I'm happy since there is no nasty 300 GB cap.

Well i'm currently a university student, and speeds on JANET can be up to 800k/sec! Tis amazing!
