Yeah, I've had those in the past too.
And in cases where it's not just a phishing scam you're more than likely to get arrested for money laundering, and will have to repay the amount they paid in to your account... so in the example they quote, you received £2K, you took your cut of £160 and transferred £1840 to some friendly Russian people. The police then arrest you and demand repayment of the £2K, so you're out of pocket by a long way!
