Im thinking of starting up a digital photography website/forum.

Basicly, I just want to see who would be interested in setting this up with me?

Its going to be a professional one, vbulletin forums, the lot.

Its amazing on what urls have been taken, im trying to find a decent name for it but not having much luck.

Are you hosting digital photos from other users? If so, rememember photos can really eat into bandwidth

Tell us more about the aims of the site, how you plan to differentiate it from others in the market, what features it will have, and how you're gonna market it

Also, do you have any examples of sites that you like in this market, in particular which features about which site.

I'm might be interested after finding out a bit more about your plans

will it be a community site if so have you thought of phpnuke with one of its many photo gallerys.
Coppermine Photo Gallery v1.1 is a good one it also runs on a stand alone site. With php and mysql supported.
wit hthis one peeps can upload to the site I think you can also d oit through an admin control.

This will be a dicussion website about digital photography and standard photography alone. It will not have the ability to host your own photo's etc..

Good luck! I visit the rob galbraith website - www.robgalbraith.com - it is very useful and informative. It is North America based, and its contributors are mainly from that part of the world. Something UK based/lead may be more able to deal with local problems fro us: Supply issues, UK prices etc.

I would be interested in joining in any venture (as a contributor). I shoot digital 99% of the time now. I drive an EOS10D, and very good it is too!

Its just I need someone to help me out while doing this. A partner, someone to split the costs etc..
