why does this happen?

I have done all sorts (well a bit) but being remote i'm stuck for what to suggest to do.

We run our own mail server on an ip 217.37.105.141 (not hiding ip as you can very easily get it.

We run sbs2003 with exchange 2003. The directors are mobile/remote most of the time so they either use exhange webmail or RDP.

When they go to the Castle Green Hotel it lets them access webmail once then after that it gives page cannot be displayed. This happened on my computer also ans on both of theirs so hopefully nothing to do with our side of things.

I can login from home 100% of the time as can they.

Is there anything else I can trouble shoot? They access the web via wireless at the hotel and afaik they have no issues connecting in reception off the router there and given the distance to the training suites it must be a different AP they are having the issues from.

tracert - times out as it does from my home pc (it's the worlds slowest trace also)
ping - times out

not sure what else I can do, any ideas?

update. Got them to see what ip's they get to see if I can work anything out.

192.168.0.153 is the conference centre address

192.168.10.204 is the reception address which worked first time.......

Re: why does this happen?

have you tried renewing the IP addresses of the laptops? It could be something quirky regarding the routing at the hotel.

Re: why does this happen?

It could be a proxy service(firewall) that they have running at the hotel.
As webmail is dynamic if you try to cache it, it doesnt like it.

You would have to ask them to turn off any kind of caching to test it, which they might say no
or add in a exception for your IP/DNS address.
