Hi guys n gals.

i switched off my firewall while i was messing about.
When i switched it on again i had a message saying BSQUARE-VOIP is trying to contact NDISUIO.sys on 1071.

Anyone got any ideas what it is?

Re: Bsquare-voip

It came up with BSQUARE as this is the defualt service name assigned to port 1071, prahaps do to the company BSquare's close work with Microsoft (CE and IceBox). If you are using a wireless connection NDISUIO.sys is used as part of the Windows wireless/internal communication system and so the firewall picked up an attempted communiction to this driver via port 1071, which was probably nothing more than a port scan. To be safe though, do a full virus scan with the latest definitions, just to make sure nothing nasty got onto your machine while you had the firewall turned off (and still connected to the net, why!?).
