Anyone else had the subscription cancelled by Iweb-solutions?

Got in tonight ot find an email saying they had cancelled it.

Quote:
Dear ********

Your subscription to Windows Mini [*********]has been cancelled by I-Web Solutions.

You will not be invoiced for this Subscription again.

-----------------------------------
Cancellation Details
-----------------------------------

Cancellation Date: 23 May 2006
Subscription Name: Windows Mini [**********] Subscription Number: **********
I've never had a problem with them, but as the site is for someone who paid me, I am wondering what to say to them, they dont even give a reason as to why it was cancelled by them.

Re: Iweb

Might be some weird mistake? Has the website itself been taken off line. I'd contact I-web direct and find out what it's about.

Re: Iweb

They are moving billing systems....

From an email I got earlier on today...

Quote:
Our upgrade to the new billing system is well overdue, however we have finally reached a stage where were ready to make the migration. Over the next 2 weeks, all accounts will be transferred over. This process will include the need to cancel any PayPal subscriptions you have configured, as these talk to the old billing system. The new system allows you to create a new subscription, or alternatively you can pay each invoice manually. If your payment is normally Mail in payment, we recommend that you send payments in as soon as you receive your invoice to allow them to clear.

You will know when your account has been transferred as you will receive a new welcome e-mail, giving links to the new system etc. The usernames and passwords are being transferred from the current system, however you use your e-mail address as your username on the new system. The passwords listed are also the default passwords that were issued to you originally, if you have changed these then obviously your new password will still be true.

We apologize if this causes any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding

Re: Iweb

Did you not get an e-mail ? it explains why.

Basically they are moving to a new billing system, so all the old subscriptions will get cancelled.

Edit: As explained above ......

Re: Iweb

I've had an email today saying they are starting to introduce a new billing system, which will require existing subscriptions via paypal, being cancelled.

I assume it is to to with this - they said I would get a message with the new details, once it happened, and that the new system will allow either setting up a new subscription, or paying manually, when due.

<edit> I type really slowly, dont I

Re: Iweb

OK
To make this simple we are transferring our billing sytem and for the accounts to be transferred properly we needed to cancel subscriptions but once the billing cycle comes around again you will be billed as normal and once paid you will be able to setup the subscription again in the meantime your site will not be affected by this as explained in more detail in post 3

Re: Iweb

Yea, unfortunately Paypal's IPN can't be modified (which is a major pain) so all subscriptions need to be cancelled and re-created with the new IPN details.
