Re: Internet Explorer or Firefox
I've always used IE, but I tried Firefox about 6 months ago. I had loads of problems with websites that wouldn't work properly - hotmail for one, and anything made using MS software.
It's very likely that MS have drifted away from the standards to maintain their monopoly. I can't be bothered to pursue a campaign against them though.
I stick to IE now. It's not broke, so it doesn't need fixing.

Re: Internet Explorer or Firefox
It depends on your tastes lol IE7 Beta2 is better than IE I haven't really used FF much since the last Beta release of IE but both browsers have strengths and weaknesses.

I have found this FF add-on to switch browsing engine, so that you won't have problems viewing pages. see link https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/ or the official site http://ietab.mozdev.org

Re: Internet Explorer or Firefox
So what's the advantage of using Firefox (or anything else) then? I tried tabbed browsing, and thought it was mildly, slightly useful. You may be at less chance of getting hacked or a virus.
What other advantages are there?

Re: Internet Explorer or Firefox
It wasn't really a poll, more of a punch up really

I used to have tonnes of problems with IE.
Then I saw the light and converted to Firefox. Never looked back.

Re: Internet Explorer or Firefox
Firefox really does block popups, IE doesn't. Nuff said!

Re: Internet Explorer or Firefox
Haven't had many problems with IE, in years of use. Had far more problems with a few hours of Firefox.
Will look at Opera though.
