BBC live streaming video

I have a computer connected directly to the internet running winme on which l can watch the snooker on the bbc website ok,
l have another computer, connected to the net through my winme computer, and this computer runs winxp pro,
l can watch video ok on the bbc website through my winxp computer except for the live snooker, the link for the live snooker is simply not there, there isn't a blank space, the page simply doesn't have the link.
Java, activeX etc are all enabled, in fact the settings are the same on each computer, does anyone have an answer?.

Click on the 'connection' link at the top of CF on both computers. There may be a difference in what the website sees you coming from and IIRC some of the services are only allowed to be shown to UK IP addresses.

Could be barking up the wrong tree but worth checking.

If you mean the audio/video button at the top of the snooker page it shows links to highlights of yesterdays matches on my winme comp but no links on my winxp comp. Maybe you're right and it thinks l'm from out of the uk, is there an answer l wonder.

What's the ip of the XP machine ? If it has a private address (i.e 192.168.0.1) that maybe why you can't view the content. BBC need a "proper" ip address, so it can validate you are indeed a uk ip. As private addresses can be from anywhere in the world, it's probably blocking that address. You will need to try and connect directly, instead of going through the ME machine. Bear in mind here, I'm no expert, but I tend to agree with Aragorn. But could be wrong lol.

XP ip is 192.168.0.2
l could connect directly but l'd have to alter my internet settings in the xp comp and then put them back, l'll leave it l think, it's just that the xp comp is in another room and it's convenient to watch it on that sometimes.
thanks for your help guys, at least it's got to the bottom of the problem

I'm pretty sure a router will solve all the problems, without changing much on either pc.
