Where are you now Internet site - Legit - Any Members here?
Hi All,
Been getting some e-mails from this site ( www.wayn.com) from a guy to my personal e-mail address, its the same person, it gives his name and his age - trouble is i dont think i know him (no photo provided)! It says he's 21 (im 30) but you never know and my memory is terrible at the best of times.
So is anybody here a member of this site so i can let him know as i dont want to sign up especially if its not a legit site.
It does appear to be kinda genuine in as much as these things can be and the site Looks legit.

Yes its a legit site but it doesn't mean you know them. You have to be invited to join and you will start to recieve the emails.
I joined ages ago and only visit occasionally sort outthe message then leave.

But it didnt register - i didnt even know if the site was legit. And the e-mail i have is from a person inviting me to join.

if you do join, invitations are sent to everyone in your hotmail/ yahoo/ gmail address books, so it could be that you were in someone's address book and they have signed up.

It just goes to show how lacklustre people are with the security of their passwords - to not only enter them along with their email addresses on a third party website, but to allow them to raid the address book too to send out email.
I wouldn't trust anyone else with my passwords/usernames let alone another organisation.
SMS.AC also uses this tactic to raid addressbooks and send out notices purporting to become from the person in question, but in reality they don't.

You dont have to share your email address as those on my list never had emails asking them to join..
