I did not order any tickets but what was odd was that is was sent to all 3 of my email addresses from
emailserver@pop3.amadeus.net
---------- Post added at 08:33 ---------- Previous post was at 08:29 ----------
Actually, even order. It was only sent to my email but not really. When a Iget an email i click the top field and it shows which of my addresses it was sent to. It includes a 'tick' to show it was sent to that address :S so i have received it but it was not to my address

Re: odd email
usually a recipt would include the last few digits of your visa card (assuming you have one of course)
I would'nt worry to much,
For peace of mind you could always check with your Visa company again assuming you have one...

All for the same ticket? Or for multiple tickets?
It may be a genuine email from Qantas - someone may be using your details to hide behind because they have used a stolen credit card (though obviously not yours - I assume you haven't got a Barclays debit card either - they're VISA too.)
If you haven't deleted it already, keep it, for now. You might also like to contact Qantas about it - though not by replying to the email - try http://qantas.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/q...nduser/ask.php (from Qantas .au website)

Re: odd email
Perhaps the person purchasing the tickets has mistyped their email address and transposed a letter in thier name?

Re: odd email
It's a valid booking - I guess someone mistyped their email address, maybe missed a .au.com or something.
The email address retreived from the booking is
damienoneill - at - gmail.com
Is this something to do with the way gmail parses addresses, upper case / lowercase names, punctuation etc > something from google
Addressing Gmail
- Gmail supports plus addressing.
johndoe+shopping@gmail.com will be received by user johndoe. Useful with filters to create multiple identities or roles.
- Gmail removes punctuation in gmail addresses.
Mail directed at johndoe@gmail.com can be received by user john.doe. As with all email, it’s also case insensitive.
- Gmail doesn’t (yet) support mailing lists, but you there are workarounds.

<mod edit: Chris W> now that we know this is not spam, i see no need to share someone's flight booking and personal information with the rest of the world!

Could be, but if that is the case, the person travelling would normally be required to show photo id (presumably on a domestic aussie flight as well). So, if someone is trying to hide behind another ID, he/she would be found out easily. I also noticed the e-mail doesn't have passenger details, which a confirmation normally would. PUzzling... It may well be worth contacting Qantas.

Re: odd email
that is what happens, apparantly this is becoming a real gmail problem.
you set up
a.smith@gmail.com
you are the only a smith so this is fine, someone else comes along and sets up asmith@gmail.com gmail lets this happen as in the sign on you have a different id, but when it comes to processing the mail for a.smith it now send it to asmith as this is the . free account.
Try sending a mail to
D.A.M.I.E.N.O.N.E.I.L.L@GMAILdotCOM I bet that comes back to you also.
