Thunderbird 1.5 seems to be out

Thunderbird 1.5 seems to be out - not showing on the T'bird page or by running an update, but nevertheless, it's there on mozilla ftp - this is the En-GB windows version.

Just off to install it! ;-)

Re: Thunderbird 1.5 seems to be out

Mozilla Thunderbird page is showing it now.

Seems to be working fine: themes/extensions are working Ok. Had to reinstall the GB spellcheck dictionary, though - fine now.

Doesn't on mine, but I use MrPostman and/or Hotmail Popper which do.

Re: Thunderbird 1.5 seems to be out

I thought Hotmail was stopping the popping of mail from its servers sometime last year?

And? MrPostman if nothing else simulates firing a browser window at hotmail.com so as long as you can extract the info you can use hotmail in pop3 clients. Haven't tried the extensions yet but an update is out.

What is the Info for Hotmail, for use in POP3 Clients?
Officially you can't do it, without a (paid for) Hotmail Plus or using anything other than OE... but
http://2mod2.com/mohot/ - random info
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mrpostman - MrPostman
http://www.fitsoftware.com/hotpop/ - Hotmail Popper

Spose it could be slightly irrelevant with HotPop as I'd assume that was a RE of the OE HTTP mail code looking at info about it - and I've been using OE to check hotmail before I used TB and just switched over - but MrPostman should work.

I have the TB extensions installed but haven't set them up yet - will do when I can be assed seeing as it would make HotPop redundant...
