New forum idea...
hi Guys,
I hope you won't consider this spam since it's my first post. but i'm not putting any links in yet so I think we're cool
anyhow, I'm thinking about starting a forum dedicated to cabling. not a competing forum to "CableForum", but one thats actually about cable assemblies. Network cables, cable tv and home theater cables, how to build them, pinouts for different stuff and whatnot.
I've noticed there are tons of sites out there that cover different aspects and I thought one forum that covered it all, including Connector GUIDES! with pictures of all the different connectors and correct names, would be helpful.
What do you think? potential?
later,
D

Diagrams and pictures would be useful as there ar eoften people asking how to connect different gear up.
Another thing you could add to your site is links to manuals as often people want to find technical specs for different items.
Tutorials for setting up different networks is a good idea.
Good luck.

Why not write the guides and have them posted in the Articles section of this site? A ready made membership of over 13,500 members and large numbers of guests already in place.

meh, not likely. lol. the thing is I already have our company site, and we sell assemblies. But I thought as a value added a forum would be not only a great promotional tool, but would give people a reason to come back to us, and to refer us to other folks. ( can't figure out what type of connector/cable you need... check out these guys, etc.)
thanks for the replies folks
Dustin
