Re: Windows Live Messenger
Ive ben using it a few days ,now an it does have some user side improvments nnot just eye candy, but its defiantly becoming more of a file sharing mechanism..

Re: Windows Live Messenger
I haven't had any sort of email, and i signed up for this beta a while back, I've been on the windows mail beta for ages now. Ive heard there's not much different in live messenger compared to the current msn 7.5 though?

Re: Windows Live Messenger
Those of you getting emails need to be careful, there's a trojan posing as Messenger 8 (live) beta that when installed will send a msg to everyone in your contact list with a link to (you guessed it) the same trojan, if the persons offline I guess it's entirely possible that the instant message will end up in your messenger registered email account's inbox.

Re: Windows Live Messenger
That email looks just like the mail beta one, so probably is genuine. Did you sign up for the actual beta through live ideas or a different way?

I believe you need to sign up, unless you get sent an invite by MS or someone else

Re: Windows Live Messenger
Ok what about this.
" Download MSNP13 Downgrader (required for signing-in)"
What is MSNP13?
and
"you won't be able to sign-in unless your passport is on the allow list. Therefore, you'll need to use a proxy which will allow you to sign-in to Messenger 8.0 BETA."
What is that about? Basically I have a legit invite do I need to worry about these 2 things or just patch the same way as 7.x?

Re: Windows Live Messenger
NO dont download from the link that says " Download MSNP13 Downgrader (required for signing-in) " - click the download button only to get the apatch.
I never used it and i can sign in.
As for your other question - your on the allowed list so forget about it.
