I wonder who ntl's first customer was.........and whether he/she will be offered something similar

I've often thought that Tescos/ASDA etc should give one customer per day the contents of their shopping trolley free. Maybe even per store.....
That would be a good incentive me thinks

in about 2 years time 2mb will feel like 56k, cause the internet will move on and get faster, and this poor guy has free but slow access, I think he will only use it for a year or 2, I know I would.

2mbit is very adequate right now and higher speeds are only useful for large file transfers or multitasking of the connection (multiple people like a family or netcafe). Its all turning into a mockery with people thinking 10mbit and 24mbit is going to speed their browsing along.

There was something in a customers account mentioning about them being the 1st live digital TV customer for Ntl and I'm sure they got some kind of special discount for life.
Can't remember what it was though.

well he could just use the free connection as much as he wants, pay for a faster one, thats if hes got cable.... i wonder if its possible to get 2 adsl lines through the same copper
