This has been released in the last few hours, get it while it's hot: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/

It also breaks themes, the best available theme for this version is this one IMO : https://addons.mozilla.org/themes/mo...cation=firefox

Initial observations are that this one is a lot quicker on first load and page transitions. Granted a new install often has a placebo effect, but I'll bet you see the improvement too.

What is the problem, you don't see the box? (I'm using it to type this right now)

No, I see the box I just can't reply into it, all I can do is quote or use the reply button.

I did an upgrade, I'll try a fresh install now, tried refreshing via CTRL+F5. F5 doesn't work either.
I'll try the fresh install and report back

Re: Firefox 1.5 beta1 (Deer Park) officially released!
So, before I uninstall the one I've got now, what's different? And what's 'Deer Park' mean? Is that just a codename like 'Longhorn' was?

More or less yes, it is just a code name. Not too sure what's different. Have a look a www.mozillazine.org for the news articles they do.

Re: Firefox 1.5 beta1 (Deer Park) officially released!
Well I just tried it - and I have the same problem as bop - so I think I'll reinstall the original one and wait a while.
