IE9 update changed address/search bar?

Hi, I noticed a rather long winded update when turned off my laptop last night and today have noticed that IE9's combined address and search bar function has changed. Rather than taking me direct to a Google list of search results when I enter a term and click on the search icon, it now simply takes me to my selected Google main page where I have to enter the terms being searched for all over again. Has anyone else noticed this? Having got used to the combined address/search bar function, this is a pain.

Cheers as always.

Re: IE9 update changed address/search bar?

Can you remove and re install the google search extension, to see if that fixes the issue?

Re: IE9 update changed address/search bar?

Don't understand what you mean by that sorry.

I have, however, been filddling around and discovered that the 'problem' only happens when I'm logged into to Googlemail at the same time. If I'm not logged in, then the combined address/search bar is fine, but if I am logged in then entering a search term just takes me to my default search provider's main page - GoogleUK.
