Google Drive is everywhere you are – on the web, in your home, at the office and on the go. So wherever you are, your stuff is just...there. Ready to go, ready to share. Get started with 5 GB free.

Shame it is only 5GB for free, with it being Google i half expected them to have more space for free like they did with Gmail.

You can buy additional storage at these prices.

Re: Google Drive now available.
Finally!
I'll still use SkyDrive for some stuff, purely as I have 25GB for free with that as an earlier user, but this will be handy for stuff where storage space isn't such an issue, and the Google integration will as usual be very useful.

Re: Google Drive now available.
I have never really used my 25GB Skydrive or my 3 25GB idrives, so maybe i should start doing it.
Does Skydrive have a folder on the computer you can just drop stuff in and it automatically uploads like Gdrive? edit i see it does!
Also i guess there is no stopping me making multiple Gdrives if required.
I have just tested the speed and Google Drive gives me my full 3mbit upload compared to Skydrive uploading at 1mbit the same file.

Re: Google Drive now available.
Sneakily, from today, Google have upped the charges for storage. Luckily I upgraded my Picasa storage at the weekend...
See attachment.

They have also updated the free space on Gmail from around 7GB to 10GB according to that table but mine is still at 7.8GB

Re: Google Drive now available.
After reading this link about the privacy policy of Google Drive compared to Sky Drive, i think i will use Sky Drive in future.

Re: Google Drive now available.
Google has a unified set of Terms and Privacy Policy for everything - it's not just for Google Drive.
Here's another comparison of Google, MS, Apple, and Dropbox's Terms:

You'll soon be losing that 25GB of free storage to 7GB if you dont claim your 25GB free storage now, i made a thread here:

Do you also use Gmail, Docs, Picasa or any other Google services?
The Terms of Service are unified Terms for *all* Google services, they're not specific for Drive.
From reading the link I posted earlier ( http://www.theverge.com/2012/4/25/29...dropbox-icloud ), I don't think it's as big an issue as some have made out.

Re: Google Drive now available.
I'm using SkyDrive - 25GB (although to get the OSX client it requires Lion...which I think is a dent to the Mac users), I also use both Dropbox - 9GB and GDrive - 5GB so I've now got plenty of online storage. I have a Box account too, but the lack of sync without paying puts me off...
