Re: Add on Conflicts.

you can fix it yourself. To see if it is add on for defo start IE without add ons by right clicking the shortcut and selecting "stat without add ons". If that works go to tools, internet options, programs and manage add ons and that'll tell you all the rubbish you have got going on which you can stop or remove.

Re: Add on Conflicts.

It's nothing to do with Virgin Media but instead the add-ons for your web browser.

Re: Add on Conflicts.

I am no expert, in fact so far away from that title that it's laughable but googling JQsiesart+Decector Impl Class brings this up.
Quote:
JQSIEStartDetectorImpl Class is a java add-on from Sun Microsystems, Inc. If you wish to you may have it but I have heard many instances where the performance of the computer is compromised. Hence, I'd suggest you disable this add-on using the add-on manager in Internet Explorer 8.

Re: Add on Conflicts.

just by relaunching the browser. The add-ons will be enabled by default unless you choose to open a unique session without add ons. Did everything work ok without the add-ons?

Re: Add on Conflicts.

doh! i have been reading it backwards all this time, I have been thinking that you needed to stop an add on from running when it is saying you actually need to get it started It has got to be a general thing used with many sites so I am thinking something like Flash. What is your internet security level set to? I set mine to medium-high and I have never had any problems.

Re: Add on Conflicts.

Well to be honest I dont know if it wants me to stop one or start one !

I downloaded/reloaded IE8.

Yes set to medium-high as well, so far so good.

What I do not understand is why does the message not inform us of which add on it wants to run/stop anyway your help has been much appreciated and I will report back later.

Kind regards tc.

Re: Add on Conflicts.

I have never used IE so maybe this isn't possible but can you disable all Add-0ns and check that you get no conflicts running an add-on free IE8?

Then you could re-enable the add-ons one at a time checking for conflicts before enabling the next in line. Presumably you should end up at a stage where you can identify which add-on is causing the problems.

Tedious process but that's what I would do with Firefox if I had a similar problem.

Re: Add on Conflicts.

Internet Explorer is currently running without add-ons

All Internet Explorer add-ons, such as ActiveX controls or toolbars, are turned off. Some webpages might not display correctly.
To continue to your home page, click the Home button.
To browse using add-ons, close Internet Explorer and then start it again.
Check for the latest Windows updates.

et all add on are enabled and I have reset ,reinstalled etc etc etc........

Re: Add on Conflicts.

Check in your programs as quite often you have both versions of IE listed, one without addons and one with, you need to drag the normal one onto your desktop and delete the other shortcut to the no addons version.
