Re: Pale Moon.

Palemoon is currently my secondary browser, and thinking of switching to it. Once upon a time, there was a steady stream of optimized FF compiles, but it seems there is no longer anyone maintaining the "straight" optimized compiles, though Waterfox may be a straight 64 bit + compiler optimize build, though ther might be other tweaks.

Palemoon specifically drops some features, as a design decision.

Re: Pale Moon.

OK. I have installed Pale Moon and it accepted all my add-ons with no problems. I just used the automatic migration tool mentioned on the Pale Moon homepage.

My only problem so far has been tabs linking to certain sites not closing and a Assertion box thingy popping up. I remembered ithe same animation notice happening with a beta Firefox last year so just adjusted the browser:animation to false in about:config (apologies if my phraseology is wrong) and not had the problem since.

The thing I have found though is the amount of memory Pale Moon seems to be using in comparison with fire fox. I set them both up with virtually identical tabs open and Pale Moon appears to be the hungrier.
