Re: Firefox 6 ships next week.
I have been using FF6 for some time now and it seems very stable. Must admit to wanting FF7 to come quickly though as it is said to free up a lot of memory.

I haven't been happy with Firefox in months so i changed to Google Chrome which runs far better on my desktop PC. I also think Firefox has become ugly and needs a more compact default theme like Chrome has.

Re: Firefox 6 ships next week.
ive been using firefox 5 since the day of its release and its a lot better than Firefox 4. Firefox 4 i would get all sorts of random freezes especially if its been running for ages. The only thing though i have noticed is that it can be a little heavy on system resources i have seen it touching almost 400mb a number of times.

Re: Firefox 6 ships next week.
I've decided to try and use Firefox again using a Chrome theme because flash games seem to work better on it on my desktop PC as well as scrolling being smoother, it is not ugly anymore so i am happy!
I downloaded Firefox 6 from here.

Re: Firefox 6 ships next week.
Ever since it was called Phoenix, I've wanted to love it. I never have. It was always ugly. . Sluggish UI. Didn't respect Windows mouse scroll settings. Etc. I have went from IE, to Opera to Chrome. I just cannot feel an ounce of affection for Phoenix/Firebird/Firefox. Each new release seems to add very little, each version is just as ugly, slow and clunky.
Plugins? Well the other browsers have them too now. Maybe even some of them are as dangerous as the Firefox ones
Firefox should just get off Windows and stick with Linux, where it is based. It's XULRUNNER environment has never been good at responsiveness, which is why it runs like a pig in treacle on Windows.
Runs great on Linux though!

Darren its not just Firefox that doesnt like mouse scroll settings i have a few issues with IE9 also and im using a Microsoft Keyboard and mouse set that supposed to intigrate stuff like that.
Firefox 5 is a lot better tho i have to admit.

When you have Chrome setup how you like it, you will love it.
