Music service Spotify is being sued in the US and Europe for allegedly violating patents held by PacketVideo.
The lawsuit claims that Spotify has violated at least two patents owned by PacketVideo that cover methods of streaming music over data networks.
If companies don't actively use (or even intend to use) the patents they shouldn't even be allowed to keep them. Apple & Co. buy/create them they then put such technologies in their products, and such should then gain the right to sue should someone copy.

PacketVideo developed Twonky so most definitely use the technology covered by the patents...
