http user/pass login
Is there a way of entering the user:pass in a HTML link like you can with FTP links, so you bypass the login part?
FTP you could use
ftp://user:pass@ftp.pwp.virginmedia.com

Re: http user/pass login
Yes in exactly the same format (http instead of FTP) but it'll only work when the page access needs a username/password (for example a .htaccess restriction).. Any user/pass within a script (like a forum login) will not work that way

Re: http user/pass login
Ok. from what i've read IE has it disabled anyway?
I used the fix and it went through, but to the login page still.
it's not a problem really. I'll just manage without.

Just re-enable it

Re: http user/pass login
Yeh, I did that by running the 'microsoftfix.exe' thing.
before I was getting an error, but after the fix it went to the page, but I still had to details in.

Re: http user/pass login
Is the username/pass on the webpage or a pop-up when you try going to the webpage?

Re: http user/pass login
On the page. but my router has a popup, and when I do the link thing it fills in the User part but I still have to put the password in.

Re: http user/pass login
Depends on the pop-up..
USER/PASS on the URL line will only work when it's conrolled by the webserver permissions itself (for example via a HTACCESS file) in that case it'll pop up a user/pass box.
Pages that use php/flash/asp or any other way of doing a username/password box will ignore the command line. Sounds like the router and webcam are using scripting so again will not work with the URL line
