Incredemail

Any answers as to why Incredemail is now saying that my user name and password are incorrect when I have done nothing to change them?
I have tried taking the program off and re-loading but the problem persists

Re: Incredemail

Have you tried the incredimail site to see if you can recover your password or if there's a problem with your account?

Re: Incredemail

Hi,
I have tried everything!!! The puzzle is that my wifes Incredemail account is working OK it sends and recieves and I can use the Virgin e-mail to send and recieve using my normal e-mail address. I have even taken off Incredemail and reloaded completely but the problem persists.
Even stranger to my non technical mind, is that I can use Incredemail to send e-mails but it will not go on normally as it stops at the authenticate stage.

Re: Incredemail

You still need to talk to incredimail, you've confirmed via your wife's account that the connection isn't to blame so it is probably an incerdimail account issue

Incredimail is a pop3/Imap/smtp client as far as I know incredimail themselves don't over an email service (or at least they didn't last time I had to do anything with it)

It could be the email server that's throwing up the message, in which case you need to check you have the correct username/password.

If you're sure you do then it might be worth checking with your email service provider.

Re: Incredemail

Ahh, OK, never used it..

---------- Post added at 07:51 ---------- Previous post was at 07:45 ----------

Something that just popped up in another forum is that some VM addresses are being rejected for username/password unless you use the full email address as the username..

No idea if this is the cause here but for example instead of using

JOHN

for the username you would need to use

JOHN@NTLWORLD.COM

No idea if this will help but strange that it should pop up twice with the same issue in two separate threads

Re: Incredemail

Ive never heard of Incredemail either, but Im betting this is the change that requires you to use the full e-mail name now - i.e. joe.bloggs@ntlword.com, not just joe.bloggs. I had the same issue and had to change my Outlook settings.
