Yes I know I'm a Luddite but can anyone tell me if there's anything I need to watch out for when I do this? Not sure what to expect and don't want any nasty surprises so I'd be grateful for any advice (apart from go straight to Firefox, IE9 etc., etc. that is. ).
TVM as always.

Can't think of any oddities, pretty sure I took IE7 first, and didn't need to do anything to upgrade to IE8, The only thing I remember was IE8 (beta) versus XP service pack, and not service pack applying over an IE beta, as it made it impossible to uninstall the beta.
