BT's inflated FTTx costs

so it seems another bit of data showing BT have silly costs for work.

BT quoted 10s of billions to even do a modest FTTP rollout, yet france telecom in a less densely populated bigger country can do 40% FTTP coverage for 2 billion euros.

So BT have managed to calculate a much higher cost per home past than verizon and france telecom.

Are BT fiddling the figures to stem of pressure to move forward?

Nope, They have to pay silly money to contractors who have them over a barrel.
