Not really as most free proxies are at the fault of the network and have been left open unintentionally..

There is though web proxy's where the website owner has allowed people to use the website as a form of frame to hide your IP to other sites

I ask because its getting hyped up as the fastest

the only time i had to use a proxy site is when 1&1 went down and yes, Mr Security here

I have and Google gives you Google.fr so I suppose it works but that all I have tried and yes it does stuff your originating IP.
