Re: Form Code For Websites
I disagree on the tables comment, never hurt the layout of any of my websites, don't understand why people are so anal about it, if tables work, use 'em imo

Re: Form Code For Websites
Your site looks like my very first website, no bad thing, all part of the learning curve I suppose. But as it's your own business, you're trying to run way before you can walk when it comes to something like this.
You need to learn, study and ask for help as much as you can, start off small till you get it right then move onwards.
If I was looking for something to buy and you sell it, I'd click your site if it was listed, then without even looking I'd close it and go elsewhere. You need to think as a customer and go from there.
At least you're giving it a go which is a good thing, never give up.

You would think it's fine, because you've done it. What about everyone else and more importantly your customers. What you think shouldn't really apply. Put up a poll asking people here would they buy anything or not, you'll soon find out that what you think doesn't always mean it's right.
If your site was only a fun site, offering info or just something to read/browse, then maybe it might work. But for business/commerce, you need to have a rethink.

I never said to not put any contact details, but the email address as a mailto: address is asking for spam. There's many ways of doing secure and spam free contact details and still keep within the law.

Re: Form Code For Websites
Personally I'd drop the HTML and go for a dedicated ecommerce package as I think Graham said early on. All of them have the contact forms built in as well as paypal/cheque payment systems. You can then get a very simple theme and have a great little site..
Currently even though you've changed the font I'd change it again, you want the text to be clear and readable.. Also I think your giant lollies are a bit expensive at £59p

Re: Form Code For Websites
Another suggestion:
Design the site to work on smaller resolutions like 1024x768. My netbook has the horizontal scrollbar for another 400-500 pixels. No website should ever have a horizontal scrollbar.
My advice to you, honestly, is to get a professional to do the site for you. BUT, set yourself a maximum budget. A decent site should not cost more than £500 and should include decent support for at least 90 days after its finished to iron out problems. I would offer to do it for you a lot cheaper, but I simply have no time for it now I work 9-5.
If you do go this route, go with a respectable company and not a one-man freelance jobbie.

Re: Form Code For Websites
Barewolf I think it's looking pretty good.
A couple of points. The Sweet and Saucy logo text drifts to the right outside of its border on widescreen. Some of the pages look a little bare without any graphics or any background colour. You MUST include your company registration number (and VAT number if you've got one) - you're breaking the law if you don't. Lots of companies get away with it at the moment, but for two minutes it takes to add it to your home page, it's not worth not doing it.
Other than that, I think the colours are good, text is nice and readable, and the whole site has a nice and simple but friendly feel to it.
I'd try adding the PayPal links again, there's loads of help and guides online at Paypal. You can actually add all your individual products to your Paypal seller's account and Paypal will generate the html code that you need to include against each product. It's dead easy. Then you'll be able to accept Paypal and all major credit cards.

Re: Form Code For Websites
Don't food products need some kind of certification before you go selling them to Joe Public??
