Free web site development tools for beginner.
I know nothing at all about creating web sites ,so any help or guidance would be very much apreciated.
My son would like to try and create a web site ,to see how it comes together and also maybe even put it online .He is after software to create the site and also would be a benefit to see how it works without having to put it on the Net.

I develop all of my templates in notepad.
Later on in the development I might use dreamweaver though.

try edit plus 2 it colour codes your code for easier error fixing
