Is anyone else having Firefox problems?
This seems to be an on and off problem for the last couple of weeks.
Firefox will just stop loading pages (any page). I just had it happen twice in an hour. IE seems to work fine. Shutting FF and restarting it solves the problem.
That's on a FF version that updated today (I think):
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14
Using Vista Ultimate btw.

Re: Is anyone else having Firefox problems?
Mine only updated about 2 hours ago and seems to be working ok up to now... I'm using XP though.

Re: Is anyone else having Firefox problems?
Yep, I updated to 2.0.0.14 and had exactly the same problems. I checked the support forums and there didn't seem to be any help in solving it.
Best I can suggest is to try deleting Firefox entirely from your Firewall rulebase (just in case the changed executable hasn't quite been recognised) and then have a go at using it again and let your firewall sort itself out.
If that's no good then it obviously isn't the firewall.
I've actually updated to the version 3 beta now and it seems stable enough (and I'm not getting pages failing to load either).

Actually, it's way ahead of IE, and always will be.
But, i see where you're coming from, i tried using it a while back, found it too bloated, got rid... Then a few months later tried it again, never looked back.
Fx did Tabbed browsing before IE, is more web standard compliant than IE, blah blah...

Re: Is anyone else having Firefox problems?
And Opera did it before FF
Got FireFox installed, and it seems OK in XP, it's the latest version.
I just got so used to using Opera I can't be bothered switching. It is still faster than any of them. I do use FF at work, for some reason Opera hates the network we have and nothing will work in it, and it has been working fine all week, again, in XP.

Re: Is anyone else having Firefox problems?
I see this is going to go into a FF v IE v Opera thread again...
Back on topic...
No, I have not had problems recently with it.

Hope not, that's why I tried to steer it back a bit at the end

Re: Is anyone else having Firefox problems?
Yup just randomly stopped loading pages. Restarted FF seems to cure it.
